The Summer Music Garden Festival 2015 came to a conclusion on the 13th of September 2015. The event which started on the second of July was a grand success as it managed to bring in an unprecedented number of musicians.
The success of ‘Summer Music in the Garden 2015′ was determined by the 68 brilliant musicians who performed over the two month period, along with brilliant sound engineer, Bob Dunkin; on-site crew Lindy Kinoshameg and Adam Reich; the terrific and enthusiastic team at Harbourfront Centre that takes care of all the logistics that go into running and marketing a series; the City of Toronto for tending the magical space that is the Toronto Music Garden; and generous sponsors and donors.
During the 16th season of the Summer Music in the Garden festival, the visitors were treated to 17 free classical music concerts. The event featured outstanding artists and explored a diverse range of international themes and music styles. “Torontonians open hearts, minds and ears are a large part of the magic which happens when friends and strangers come together in a beautiful, public place to listen to live music together,” said Tamara Bernstein, the artistic director for summer music in the garden.
These are the magical moments which creates communities and gives cities their souls.
