The Toms brand was started in the year 2006, by an American traveller named Blake Mycoskie. The brand was created to provide proper footwear for underprivileged children in an Argentinian village.
After the successful introduction of the TOMS brand, Blake launched TOMS Eyewear. This initiative, which launched in 2011, helped restore sight to persons in need with every purchase of sunglasses and optical frames. In 2014, TOMS Roasting Company was launched with the mission to provide clean water to developing communities with the purchase of premium coffee. Behind every new TOMS venture lies a noble cause, which is considered by many to be the brands greatest strengths.
Following the trajectory, the latest venture TOMS Bag collection, launched in 2015, helps provide safe births to mothers and babies in need through skilled birth attendant training and birth kits. TOMS has always been in business to improve the overall quality of life for the entire community at large and not just their loyal customers.
